This week, we are highlighting our top five, favourite online tools and resources that really focus on providing attractive, digestible assets for women in business.

Many networking organisations or events can feel intimidating and exclusive. it can be hard to put your best foot forward when you feel out of place in a situation where you are meant to be the most confident and most excited about promoting your business. The best networking scenarios are the ones where you can openly connect with potential partners or clients and discuss different ideas, but often, women can be left out of the conversation. The Women in Business Network is an organisation that works hard to build inclusive, accessible opportunities for women to network in a safe, supportive environment. With local and national meetings and events, it is a great, nationwide platform to build your connections.
Pretty Little Marketer
Marketing know-how made simple with this social media guru. Sophie Miller started Pretty Little Marketer as a simple blog sharing marketing tips, advice, and information on how to absolutely ace your social media campaigns. It has now grown into an online community of nearly 100k followers. Miller regularly shares updates about social media algorithms, how to engage directly with your audience, and how to make the most of organic social media posts. She now also provides educational seminars on freelancing and social media marketing that may be valuable if you are early in your journey as an entrepreneur. With a super supportive community on LinkedIn and Instagram, this is a great source of information that is digestible, actionable, and frankly, pretty to look at.
Financial Feminist
Who doesn’t love a good podcast? Tori Dunlap is an entertainer, advocate, and educator when it comes to women’s financial knowledge and freedom. Determined to level the playing field when it came to financial education for women, Dunlap is a successful entrepreneur, creating the Her First 100k movement to help women access the tools they need to make well-informed and safe financial decisions, in both their personal and business lives. She hosts a podcast called Financial Feminist where she discusses the obstacles women have to overcome to access reliable financial advice and gives advice on how women can make changes to become more financially secure. Her book is due to be published in 2023. Dunlap’s podcast is not only informative, but it is also empowering, and her weekly newsletter often contains tips and links to resources that could be a great asset to help in securing your financial future. A note: Dunlap is based in the USA, so some of her financial advice will be specific to USA individuals only.

Covering all styles of photography and a huge range of subject matter, Unsplash is a brilliant resource for accessing high-quality images to use on social media, newsletters, email campaigns, or even to fill space on your website. This is especially good if you are struggling to access or budget for professional photography or graphic design.

Where have you been, if you haven’t heard of Canva yet? Canva is an online/app-based platform that holds thousands of designs and templates to make graphic design easy and affordable. You can start with a free account but there is more choice and flexibility if you sign up for one of their payment plans. Creating graphics for your marketing materials is simple and stress-free, without the expense of hiring a full graphic designer or having to budget for freelancers. You can also access videography options and upload your own branding guidelines to personalise the templates.
