5 Tips For Keeping Your Prosper² Rewards Card Safe

Fraud and card theft are on the rise, and it is important that you protect your account, both online and in-person. We’ve got five simple tips for you to help keep your card and points safe, so you can enjoy the benefits of your Prosper² membership with peace of mind.
Tip 1: Keep your card details secure. This might seem obvious, but don’t share your card information, PIN, or passwords with anyone else. Don’t write down your security information in order to prevent the details falling into the wrong hands. When talking to a Prosper² team member, you will never be asked for your PIN or your passwords. We will only ever ask to verify your identity by asking you a few security questions.
Tip 2: Online security is vital. Be very wary of the networks or internet connections you are using to make online payments. Avoid using open or public WIFI without the security provided by a VPN and do not enter your card details into an insecure website. You can check whether your connection to the website domain is secure by checking the padlock symbol in the top left of your browser’s search bar. Never save your card details on your browser or a third-party website. Check your cache, history, and cookies to ensure you have cleared your details from any website you have previously purchased from.

Tip 3: Stay on top of your transaction history. You should regularly log in to check your transaction history to ensure there aren’t any unrecognisable payments going unnoticed on your card. You can check your transaction history on the Prosper² app, which is now available from the App Store and Google Play Store. Report any transactions you don’t recognise to the Prosper² team and then lock your card via the app.
Tip 4: Immediately lock your card via the Prosper² app if you suspect your card is lost or stolen and then get in touch with us to order a new card.
Tip 5: You don’t have to redeem all your Prosper² Personal Points at once. You can redeem and use the points as and when it is suitable for you. Redeeming your points in smaller amounts prevents you from carrying an excessive balance that leaves you at higher risk of loss should someone gain access to your card or account.
You can always contact the Prosper² team for advice and assistance if you have any concerns or queries.
